Digital Domain Media Group (DDMG):
11 USD price target

Several independent surveys recently announced Buy ratings for DDMG shares. Initiating coverage identified a price target up to 11 USD. Mountain Partners Group accomplished the IPO of the Academy Award® winning digital production company together with Roth Capital Partners in November 2011. Positive news during the past weeks convinced analysts of a hopeful forecast. Key future projects include building a state-of-the-art school of animation and digital arts in collaboration with Florida State University. The company recently strengthened its management by hiring an ex-Disney team. In addition, DDMG is expanding internationally and has agreements with studios in Mumbai, London and Beijing.

Brazil: Business operations successfully launched and investors’ journey

Mountain Partners` new Brazil fund Mountain do Brasil (MdB) accomplishes its first closing. The fund aims for incubation of ecommerce and internet start-ups with proven business models from other regions. MdB’s first foundation is Janamesa Ltd., a food delivery provider based on the concept of Lieferando, which has been operating successfully in Germany since 2009. The MdB fund is managed by Nicolas Gautier. A group of high-profile investors will explore Brazilian investment opportunities together with Dr. Cornelius Boersch on site and visit the MdB Team in Sao Paulo from 6th to 8th February.

Richard A. Clarke to join Identive Board of Directors

Richard A. Clarke has been appointed to the Identive Board of Directors, effective 1st January 2012. Mr. Clarke is an internationally-recognized expert on security, including cyber security, homeland security, national security, and counterterrorism. Between 1992 and 2003 he served three Presidents as a senior White House Advisor. Prior to his White House years, Mr. Clarke served for 19 years in the Pentagon, the Intelligence Community, and State Department. Currently, he teaches at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Mr. Clarke is the author of numerous best-selling books, including Cyber War: The Next Threat to National Security and What to Do About It.

Mountain Super Angel (MSA): Portfolio Activities

MSA sold its portfolio company payment solution AG (www.paymentsolution.biz). According to a trade sale with a strategic investor, MSA disposes 100% of its shares. payment solution’s systems enable consumers at sporting and similar events to make quick, cashless payments for food, beverages and merchandise using contactless smart card technology.

Berlin-based start-up Kuponjo (www.kuponjo.de) closes a six-digit financing round. The recapitalization is led by MSA (lead investor) and KfW Bankengruppe as well as by two business angels. Kuponjo is a B2B provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for online and mobile couponing.

Rheingau Founders launches profit centre for search engine optimization (SEO)

Berlin-based incubator Rheingau Founders starts operations of its first subsidiary. Rheingau aims for providing optimal and cost efficient SEO know-how to portfolio start-ups as well as for delivering agency services to external clients. The former Head of SEO of online dating portal ElitePartner joined the team recently. First clients, such as the online stock photo agency www.imagedirekt.de have been acquired already..
